Vegetable – meme

Aye, somehow I like memes … :smile: :blush:

I found this one via Zorra at Kochtopf which is originated by honeybee from Beurre et pain.
As Zorra said there was one quite similar in german last year. But well, why not give it a second try? :lol:

1. Is there a vegetable you hated as a child but came to love as you got older?

   No.
   I hated spinach, tomatoes and brussels sprouts when I was a child and I hate them as much today :urgs:

2. Most underrated vegetable?

   Most underrated, huh?
   I don’t know to be honest. What I think is that there are far more very good and delicious vegetables out there which we very seldom use ’cause – what is mostly true for me – always tend to use what we are used to. Maybe we should give them a try more often… :idea:

3. Name one favourite summer vegetable dish

   My favourite summer dish is a fresh salat with all the grown summer vegetables available at the time, as there are various leaf salads (especially field and rocket salad – on the other hand I use them even during the wintertime very often), radish, stem turnip, zucchini, cucumber … some cheese and fresh picked herbs with homemade bread – very refreshing and delicious. :smile:

4. And one for winter?

   Winter, hm – I think a warming stew with lots of root vegetables or some potatoe & veg. casserole or veg soup (I love soups – sadly enough no one around me likes soup so I don’t get one very often :|: )

5. What vegetables are in your fridge and freezer right now?

   None. I buy them fresh in supermarket or market (my favourite market ist “Naschmarkt” in Vienna, proably the best one in Austria), when I need them.

6. Is there a vegetable you really like but don’t make much yourself?

   No. Well – maybe cauliflower – I love it, but I don’t cook dishes with cauliflower very often. Don’t even know why.. :?):
