A Heart for your Valentine @ Kochtopf
Since the first attempt for Zorra’s event for Valentine’s Day was a mere disaster I tried something else.
I remembered what I most loved in my childhood. It was Grandma’s “Guglhupf” so I decided to make some heart shaped Gugelhupf for G.
And what should I say? He really loved them and I am very glad it worked out in the end. :)
Now since I have no internet at home and was at home with a flu for the past two days I am too late for entering the event but I wanted to post it though.
Basically it is a plain “Marmorgugelhupf” nothing fancy or special but something we children always loved when we had it on sundays.

Heart-shaped Marmorgugelhupf
230 grams sugar
3 eggs
1/8 l milk
280 grams flour
1/2 pkg. baking powder
cocoa
Combine all ingredients (except the cocoa).
Seperate one half of the dough and add cocoa to the other half. Add some spoons of first dough and then some spoons off 2nd dough.
Stir gently with a thin stick to make some swirls. Bake at 150°C.

This cake looks delicious! I think that I will try to make it.
